Improve your
knowledge of scar
aftercare and claim
CPD revalidation

In a survey with over 900 nurses, one in five told us that patients in primary care are seeking their advice on a weekly basis1.
In response, we created a new, free module ‘Management of Patients with Scarring in Primary Care’ to help you build your knowledge in this area.
The module is authored by Dermatology Specialist Nurse, Julie Van Onselen, and counts towards your CPD through the NMC revalidation process.
Addressing four key areas of care, the module covers:
  • The physiology of scars; including different scar types and the healing and maturation process.
  • The psychological and social impact of scars.
  • Current evidence-based treatments, self-care options and emerging therapies to reduce scarring.
  • Practical guidance and resources for discussing scarring with patients.
Take the training if:
  • You will see patients with scarring and don't feel confident in providing support.
  • You will perform minor surgeries/procedures (or provide wound care advice following), and would like to ensure that aftercare is neatly embedded into your consultations.
  • You have a general interest and would like to gain CPD revalidation in a new area.

<<< TAKE THE TRAINING >>>
Upon completion of the training you will receive a free e-certificate and information on how you can complete the revalidation process.
